Dear Members,

I’m looking forward to our Charity Day this coming Saturday and hopefully the weather will favour us. There are available spaces on the timesheet, so please contact me if you wish to play or join us later for the raffle in the Green Room.  Our committee will be beavering away from early morning selling raffle tickets, organising the prize table and score cards.  Assembly is at 12 noon and the format is “Foursomes”.  Players compete in teams of two, using only one ball and taking alternate shots until the ball is holed.  Team members take turns in teeing off on each hole,  i.e. one player will take the tee shot on odd-numbered holes and the other on even-numbered holes.  Enjoy the day!

Match play is already underway so best of luck to everyone.  Congratulations to Mary Drury and Maureen Kelly  who are going forward to the Grand Final of the Ping Competition on Tuesday 17th May.  It will be a nine hole, siren start at 1pm in Leopardstown.  There are wonderful prizes so good luck to both of our ladies.  Congratulations also to the Spanish Golfer finalists, Therese Brosnan and Teresa Comerford.  The date for this competition has yet to be advised.  Well done to all.
