Captain’s Day
Dear Ladies,
Thank you all so very much for making my Captain’s Day so wonderful on Saturday. Thank you for all your good wishes, cards and gifts, your generosity, kindness and support.
I do hope you enjoyed the day and evening as much as I did. The meal in The National Yacht Club was lovely and you proved that most of you were pretty smart at the Emoji quiz!! As there were 3 teams who had all the correct answers, it was Natasha’s team who got the prize in the end!! Well done Natasha. She now informs me that she will be going for a hat-trick next year.
Congratulations to Niamh Quinn who won the Captain’s Prize.
Thank you to my Vice Captain Paula and all the committee members who worked so hard to make this event so successful.
Kind Regards,
Joyce

CHARITY DAY
My Charity Day was held on Saturday 18th May 2019 and I chose Arthritis Ireland as my nominated charity. Unlike the Drive In day the weather held up for us , thankfully. Afterwards we had tea/coffee and scones in the Green room ready to us if we wished, and most people were happy to avail of it. There was a great big raffle and everyone went home with a prize. Eleanor Cryan won first prize of a gift voucher for Mc Guirks and said she never wins anything!! so congratulations to her.
Thank you to everyone who donated the prizes for the raffle, who bought tickets and for turning out to support Arthritis Ireland. They were so thrilled to receive the large sum of €1730.
I want to say a big Thank You to the very hard working committee who worked so hard in making this day a success, especially to Máire Barrett, who had to make so many changes to the time sheet, even up to the last minute and had us all sorted. Well done Máire.
Thank you for all your generosity in time and money.

This is a Greensomes event. In Greensomes, both golfers on a team tee off, the one best drive is selected, and they play alternate shot from there.

Assemble at 12.00 to collect your cards and tee off is at 12.30
If you have any items for re-gifting or any donations for the raffle, it would be much appreciated. Items can be given to any member of the committee or bring on the day.
Looking forward to a great turn out and fun day of golf.

Charity Day
The Charity day will be held on Saturday 18th May and this year it will be for Arthritis Ireland. I am sure you all know someone who has a “touch” of arthritis, so it is a very worthy cause. Golf that day will be €10.00 and we will be selling raffle tickets for lots of prizes. Your support with any prizes or “re gifting” items you do not want would be very much appreciated. They may be given to any member of the committee. I would love to have “one for everyone in the audience” with as many items as possible. It doesn’t matter how big or small it is, we will be thrilled to receive it.
If you can gain sponsorship, that would be wonderful too.
The list will be on the notice board on Saturday 27th April and a siren start will be 12.30. Players compete in teams of two, taking the better drive and alternate shots.
More about this later.
Thank you,
Joyce
