LADIES CAPTAIN’S DRIVE IN

Dear Ladies,

Thank you ever so much to everyone for a wonderful day at my Drive In.

Despite the terrible weather which started soon after I teed off, it was great that everyone decided to go out and play golf. The weather didn’t stop the loyal Saturday Strollers members and off they went and soldiered on to the bitter end. There was a fantastic turnout and the meal was lovely and enough for seconds for those who wanted to try both dishes !!! The cake was delicious also.

Congratulations to all the winners of the day including, “Birdies” for January and February and Player of the Month, in categories B and A.

Linda Corrigan achieved “An Eagle ” in February, so a big congratulation to her also.

It was a very enjoyable afternoon and we all brought our own “Sunshine” to the day.

Thank you to everyone for all your support, kindness, good wished and gifts, which I really appreciate and to all the committee members for their hard work in making my Drive In a success.

Rules Night

On Tuesday February 26th we held a Rules night with the other 3 Saturday societies and it proved to be a very informative and successful night.

Yvonne Cassiday who is a member of the PGA , Professional Golfers Association and a member of Dundalk Golf Club guided us through the new rules for 2019 with great slides to make it very clear to us, what to do in any of the different situations we might find ourselves in. Yvonne also brought a few books, which some of the members have including myself, with the visuals to keep us on track and can refer to at any time.

The Shamrock Special

the Shamrock Special will be held on Saturday 16th March 2019 with 3 prizes in each category. I would love to see lots of Green that day.

Away Day

Our away day will be held on Saturday 6th April in Charlesland Golf Club as Leopardstown will be closed for racing that day. The timesheet will go up in the locker room shortly with full details of cost etc.
