A Rules night will be held in the Green room on Tuesday 26th February @ 19.30. The other Saturday societies and one Thursday society will be joining us. These new rules were introduced in January 2019 and it should be a very informative evening. Looking forward to see you there.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all our members back and wishing you a very Happy New Year and a wonderful year of golfing.

You have all received the list of events that will be taking place during the year, but keep an eye on the website too, for updates.

Our first day back on January 5th was a glorious day and all were delighted to get out in the sunshine and hit a few balls after Christmas. Indeed we had Dympna Mc Cabe scoring the first “Birdie” of the year that day followed by Aideen O’Leary the following week. Well done ladies.

Here are a few events to get us started.

GOLFER OF THE YEAR

This competition starts on January 19th and will be played over 10 dates throughout the year.  The winner will be the person who scores the best eight out of ten games. Good Luck to all.

SPRING LAMB

This competition starts on January 26th and will be played over 5 selected weeks .The winner will be the person who  scores the best  four out of five games.  Again, Good Luck to all.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

As usual we have this popular competition for each category, starting with category (B) for January, category (A) for February and category( C) for March. The player with the most points  in that month, will be Player of the Month.  Good Luck again.

CAPTAIN’S DRIVE-IN

My Drive-In will take place on March 2nd. This will be a team event. I encourage everybody to play as this is a great opportunity to meet and greet our new members. The sheet will go up in the locker room in the next couple of weeks.

AWAY DAY

The committee are organizing the away day on April 6th as Leopardstown will  be closed due to racing. We have decided to go to Charlesland in Greystones this year. We will keep you posted on this event later.
